Registration for the Google Teacher Institute at Akron this summer will be online shortly..you can check back to the blog and post a comment there about wanting to attend then I can remember to send you the flyer when it is printed next week or so! It should be a fun day!
I was out of town, sorry I am just getting back to you. I would like to get together sometime, give you a little feedback on the inservice and pick your brain on a few things. Let me know when you have sometime to meet with me in the next few weeks.

Some things I have done so far are the use of podcasting and a wiki. I have had students podcast on how to do particular math skills like finding the range median and mode of data. I have a podcasting station in my room. It is a USB preamp connected to a typical microphone. We have Macs, so I use GarageBand to record and edit. I then converted to MP3 and uploaded to my class site. Being a novice/professional web designer, I have my own site to upload to and I don't have to worry about the school servers. The wiki I use is a free site. I could set one up myself, but that would require extra time that I don't have. I am using the wiki much like a blog site. The students all have accounts (82 students) and I post questions. They answer the questions by commenting. I didn't think I would have so many getting on the site. Many of my students do not have internet access at home.
I have done iMovie videos with my kids in the past. I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate this into math. The kids love to do this stuff. They are good at it. It just takes patience and some prayers that the lab doesn't go down in the middle of working on a major project.
